Breakthrough in Brain Cancer Treatment

Bengaluru, India – A groundbreaking development in the fight against brain cancer has emerged from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Researchers at IIT Delhi have reported promising results in pre-clinical trials for a novel treatment targeting glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain cancer.

The IIT Delhi team, led by Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharyya, has developed a nanoformulation called Immunosomes, which combines a CD40 agonist antibody with a small molecule inhibitor. This innovative approach has shown remarkable efficacy in eliminating brain tumors in mice models.

Importantly, the treatment not only eradicated the tumors but also stimulated a robust immune response, preventing tumor recurrence even after re-challenge. These findings, published in the prestigious journal Biomaterials, offer new hope for patients suffering from this devastating disease.

CliniLaunch Research Institute closely monitors such advancements in cancer research, recognizing their potential to transform patient care. We are excited by these promising results and eagerly await further developments in the clinical pipeline.
